About EasyCheckWelcome to the MLA EasyCheck download site.EasyCheck is a computer application used by abattoirs across Australia to maintain accurate records for the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS). It is an initiative of Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and is free to download and use. To download a full install or upgrade to the EasyCheck program, select the DOWNLOAD button at the top of the page. Contact information along with help documentation can be found by clicking the respective buttons from the menu. EasyCheck has four main functions:It tracks individual
animals as they move through the abattoir and records details
and information about the carcasses. This information is
used to create a Kill File which is then transferred to
the NLIS database.
It notifies the user
of animals whose NLIS identity proves that it has been stolen
or has been imported.
EasyCheck also automatically
downloads important chemical residue and disease information
from the NLIS database to the EasyCheck application where
it can be accessed by people on the kill floor.
It allows statistical
data about carcasses to be collected and transferred to
the NLIS database where it can be accessed directly by producers.
